Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Muhammad Usama Amjid ("I", "me", the "Service Provider"), a sole proprietor registered in Pakistan, handles personal data on this website and in the WhatsApp & Telegram AI sales agent service (the "Service"), also marketed as Clockwork Bots.

1. Who this policy covers

• Visitors to usamaamjid.com, including anyone who submits the contact form.
• Business owners who connect their WhatsApp Business or Telegram account to the Service.
• End customers who message a business that uses the Service. The business you are messaging is the controller of that conversation; I process it on the business's behalf.

2. What I collect

Website. Name, email address and the message you type into the contact form. Anonymous usage analytics (page views, device type, approximate region) through Vercel Analytics, which does not use cookies or track individuals.

Business owners. Your name, email address, business name, address and phone number; the products, prices, payment details and policies you enter; and the access tokens that Meta or Telegram issue when you connect a channel. Tokens are stored encrypted and never shown back to anyone, including me.

End customers. Your WhatsApp or Telegram identifier and display name, the messages you send to the business, any images you send (such as a payment screenshot), and the order details you provide (such as a shipping address). Message content is used only to answer you on the business's behalf and to complete your order.

3. How I use it

• To reply to a contact-form enquiry.
• To operate the Service: generate replies, quote prices, record orders, forward payment proof to the business owner for approval, schedule a follow-up the owner has allowed.
• To produce a nightly summary for the business owner of questions the agent could not answer, so the owner can improve their catalogue.
• To keep the Service secure, diagnose failures and prevent abuse.
• To meet legal obligations, including tax record-keeping in Pakistan.

I do not sell personal data, and I do not use customer conversations to advertise to anyone.

4. Automated processing and AI

Replies in the Service are generated by a large language model. Message text and, where a customer sends one, a payment screenshot are sent to the model provider to produce a reply. Every money decision — accepting a payment, approving an order, delivering a product — is made by the business owner, not by the model.

5. Who else processes it

Data is shared only with the providers needed to run the Service: the messaging platforms (Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform and Telegram), the language model provider (Anthropic), and hosting, database and storage providers. Each is bound by its own terms to process data only on my instructions.

6. Retention

Contact-form messages are kept while the enquiry is open. Business data, conversations, orders and payment screenshots are kept while the business owner's account is active and are deleted on request or when the account is closed, except where the law requires records to be kept longer. Channel access tokens are removed when a channel is disconnected.

7. Your rights

You can ask me to access, correct or delete personal data I hold about you, or to stop a particular use of it. If you are an end customer, you may also contact the business you messaged, which controls that conversation. Write to usama@usamaamjid.com and I will respond within 30 days.

8. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS, channel credentials are stored encrypted, and each business's data is kept separate from every other business's. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data I will notify you as the law requires.

9. Children

The Service is for businesses and their adult customers. I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

10. Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top is updated. Material changes affecting business owners are also sent to the email on their account.
